On February 6, the first meeting of the Baltic University Programme (BUP) organized by the Lithuanian National Center took place with higher education institutions in Klaipėda, which are members of the BUP network – Klaipeda University, Klaipėda State College (KVK) and LCC International University. During the meeting, the activities of the BUP network, research topics for sustainable development of the Baltic Sea region, planned academic events, and opportunities for involving students and lecturers in scientific research were presented. There was also a discussion about the prospects of networking between the BUP Lithuanian National Center and the higher education institutions in Klaipėda that belong to the BUP network.
Since November 2024, the BUP National Center in Lithuania has been operating at Klaipeda University, with the goal of promoting the participation of Lithuanian higher education institutions in BUP activities aimed at the sustainable development of the Baltic Sea region.
