The summer school will take place in Klaipėda from August 4-11. Some of the sessions will take place on board the sailing vessel BRABANDER, which belongs to Klaipėda University, that will sail around the south-eastern part of the Baltic Sea to conduct research and collect samples. Students will also explore the unique coastal environment of the Curonian Spit and the Nemunas Delta, and learn about the impacts of climate change, biodiversity loss, and human aspects on the unique Baltic Sea environment, as well as ways of mitigating these impacts.
Classes will be held in English.
Participation in the summer school is free of charge and applications are open to students from universities participating in BUP. A total of 36 undergraduate and postgraduate students and 3 PhD students from BUP participating universities will be selected to participate. You can apply until May 19, 2024.
