Application procedure for degree students and recognition of previous education

DEADLINES

AUTUMN INTAKE:
Applicants from the European Union, Eastern Partnership countries, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Turkey: the application period is from January 1st - June 30th.

Applicants from other countries: January 1st - June 1st.

SPRING INTAKE:
Application period to all other countries: September 1st - November 1st

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

KU PROCEDURE FOR RECOGNITION OF EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

1	Go to apply.ku.lt to complete the application form and upload all the required documents
2	Upload electronic documents	A. Passport copy B. - Higher school certificate for bachelors degree - Degree certificate and it's supplement for Master studies C. Minimum average grade (CGPA) > 60% D. Proof of English Language proficiency (not required for native English speakers only): IELTS > 5.5, TOEFEL > 75, Duolingo > 110, PTE > 59 E. Passport type photo F. Document of approval certification (Apostille) G. COUNTRY SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS check here.
3	Pay application fee of 180 EUR. For citizens of EU and Eastern Partnership Countries - 75 EUR	Application fee is non-refundable. If you wish to apply to both cycles (Bachelors and Masters), you need to create two separate applications and pay 180 Euros for each.
4	Wait for response	Academic evaluation commission considers applications and in case of positive decision, issues the Conditional letter, makes online interview
5	Pay the tuition fee	Once the tuition fee is paid, University issues Letter of Acceptance and prepares all needed documents for your chosen embassy
6	If visa is issued, we welcome you to Klaipeda University	Tuition fee is fully refunded in case of visa rejection.

Important Notes:

Official Acceptance Letter Communication Channels

Dear applicants, please be kindly informed that the University provides official acceptance letters only via the official e-mail domain @ku.lt or through the Dream Apply platform. The University does not send official letters via Viber or WhatsApp applications.

Proof of Your Academic Qualifications

Only final diplomas are accepted; provisional diplommas are not considered.

Documentation

Considering the risks associated with illegal migration, the University reserves the right to request education documents issued within the last five years from certain countries.

Additional specific requirements for Bangladeshi students applying for Bachelors

The GPA of Higher Secondary Education should not be less than 3.50. (The university reserves the right to ask for a GPA of not less than 4.50 if the applicant is applying to competitive programs.)
It is mandatory to provide at least half a year's transcript from the university.

Additional specific requirements for Bangladeshi and Indian students applying for Masters

It is mandatory to have defended the final thesis during Bachelor's studies.
It is mandatory to have completed a previous internship during Bachelor's studies.
The duration of previous studies must be not less than 4 years.

Additional specific requirements for Ghanian and Nigerian students applying for Bachelors

It is mandatory to provide at least one year's transcript from the university.

Additional information for applicants from Ukraine

Please be informed that Ukrainian citizens who have graduated from schools in Lithuania and have passed at least three Governmental exams (Lithuanian language, Mathematics, and one additional exam) are eligible to apply for Government support. In this case, applicants are required to apply via the LAMA BPO system. If the applicant is exempt from the Lithuanian exam, the final annual evaluation of the Lithuanian language and two additional Governmental exams will be considered. If you have graduated from a school not in Lithuania but in Ukraine, you need to apply via the https://apply.ku.lt system and provide your atestat, marks, and NMT test results along with other required documents (requirements). Klaipeda University provides grants for the top 11 applicants from Eastern Partnership countries and Kazakhstan who are applying for Bachelor's degrees. The applicants' scores will be calculated based on final marks and the NMT test (ZNO test).

If you do not win a grant, you will need to write a request to the Klaipėda University rector, who will personally review all requests and decide on the discount for the applicants.
