This year, the conference will be held in Kaunas, Lithuania, during 9-12 May, and the topic is Sustainable production and consumption: A circular economy perspective. The four-day conference is free of charge and applications are open for students at BUP participating universities. A maximum of 80 students will be selected to take part.
The first full day of the conference is held together with the International Young Researchers Conference hosted by Kaunas University of Technology. This means that the BUP Student Conference will focus on the development of young researchers’ competences in connection to sustainable industrial development, sustainable production, and sustainable consumption.
During the conference, there will also be opportunities to get to know students from universities all over the Baltic Sea Region, take part in a guided tour of Kaunas, and participate in the Students' Parliament where you elect a new Student Representative for the BUP International Board.
The BUP Student Conference will offer an opportunity to learn about the issues addressed by other students' works and their results, as well as to discuss and assess the international importance of scientific achievements for industry and society.
All accepted students will get the opportunity to submit articles for presenting papers or posters during the conference. The submitted papers are subject to review and decision on their publication by the editorial board of the publication. Papers in English will be published online in the conference Book of Abstracts called Industrial Engineering 2023 – Circular Economy: production and consumption.
